Family Business & EAT Ticket — Supporting Family-Owned Businesses

This year, we’re doing something different at our family reunion to support the entrepreneurs in our family!

Reunion 2027 will be our first time offering family members the opportunity to separate their reunion costs for T-shirts and food. This new system is designed to support our family entrepreneurs while keeping reunion registration affordable for everyone.

EAT Ticket Information

For those who wish to eat at the reunion, an EAT Ticket will be required. These tickets can be purchased through the Merritt Family Reunion website or directly from participating vendors at designated retail booths.

Please note:

  • Family members without an EAT Ticket will not be able to receive food at the cookout.
  • You may still attend the reunion by simply registering and purchasing a T-shirt; however, an EAT Ticket is required to participate in the barbecue cookout on July 4th.

Supporting Family Businesses

This system is designed to give our family-owned businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services to more than 500 family members.

We are offering 10 vendor booths at no cost. Family members interested in participating must register for a booth. If selected, vendors will bring their own merchandise or services to sell at the reunion.

If you are interested in securing a booth to sell your products, please email us directly. All profits from your sales are yours to keep. The only requirement is that you register to be selected and also volunteer to help set up the retail area.

These booths will allow family entrepreneurs to:

  • Sell their products directly to family members
  • Gain exposure within a large family network
  • Support the EAT Ticket system through their sales

How the EAT Ticket Works

To receive an EAT Ticket, family members will purchase items from participating vendor booths. In return, vendors will provide an EAT Ticket, which can then be used to receive food at the cookout.

This means:

  • You support a family business by making a purchase
  • You receive an EAT Ticket in return
  • You use that ticket to enjoy your meal at the reunion

Important Notes

We are not charging for food directly at the reunion. The only purchase required for general attendance is the reunion T-shirt, which will be designed and produced by family members who own T-shirt businesses.

Reunion registration fees will remain very low; however, those fees do not cover the cost of food. The EAT Ticket system is designed specifically to help our family entrepreneurs earn income during our family gathering.

Final Message

We are a large and talented family, and this is an opportunity to support one another. Please shop with our family vendors, obtain your EAT Ticket, and enjoy the reunion together.

Support a family business. Get your EAT Ticket. Come eat and celebrate with family.
