Then on Saturday, trade in the bell bottoms for cowboy hats and boots as we switch gears for an exciting night of country dancing and western fun!

This special celebration will feature exciting games and activities where family members of all ages can compete for cash prizes and bragging rights. We will also gather for a memorable family dinner and a special program honoring the ancestors and generations who came before us and laid the foundation for our families today.

On the Fourth of July, the festivities continue with a delicious barbecue cookout, fellowship, laughter, and an exciting fireworks show to celebrate both our nation's independence and the strength of our family bonds.

This reunion is more than an event—it is a celebration of family, heritage, and togetherness.

The Merritt Family Vacation 2028 will be like no other!

One of the most exciting moments of our family history will begin with the opening of pre-orders for "The Life Story of Alberta Truss Merritt." Families who place their orders will receive their books during the 2029 Family Reunion.

Grandma Alberta's book will share her remarkable life story and include many rare and never-before-seen photographs that preserve the memories, traditions, and legacy of our family. Her story is truly the foundation and guiding light of our family history.

This book is more than a biography—it is a treasure that can be passed down from generation to generation. It will give the youth in our family the opportunity to know exactly where they came from, who came before them, and the sacrifices, values, and strength that built the Merritt family legacy.

"The Life Story of Alberta Truss Merritt" will ensure that her memories, wisdom, and journey continue to inspire our family for many generations to come.

The Merritt Family Reunion is coming back to Kosciusko, Mississippi in 2029, and we are excited to extend a special invitation to the Lattimore’s, Winters, and Edwards families to join us for this unforgettable celebration of family, legacy, and togetherness.

While official dates have not yet been announced, plans are underway to host the reunion on a large, open property with ample space for family activities and entertainment.

Our vision for Reunion 2029 is centered around the children and strengthening family bonds across generations. We are exploring opportunities to partner with a carnival and amusement provider to create a private family fair experience exclusively for our families.

The reunion grounds will be transformed into a family amusement park atmosphere featuring exciting rides, games, attractions, and activities designed for all ages to enjoy. A local DJ will take care of all the music.
