Our family’s story begins with our beloved matriarch, Alberta Truss Merritt, whose legacy lives on through the generations she inspired. Alberta was the proud mother of seven children, including Adell Kimbrough, Arthur Merritt, Melissa Merritt, Sudie Pearl Edwards, Clarence JR Merritt, Louise Merritt, Mary Charlotte Carr,  and Mary Charlotte Carr. From her grew a family rooted in love, resilience, and togetherness.
