The Merritt Family Reunion Committee is excited to begin planning the Merritt–Winters–Edwards Family Reunion. This time next year, we invite the entire family to come together for a memorable celebration filled with laughter, love, and reconnection.
It has been far too long since we’ve gathered in our hometown of Ethel & Kosciusko, Mississippi, and it’s time to reunite again.
Reunion Dates
Our family reunion will be held on July 3rd and 4th, 2027, in Ethel, MS. We are preparing to welcome approximately 500 to 600 family members for this special two-day event.
Location
We are currently in the process of securing a beautiful location between Ethel and Highway 12. This property is spacious, welcoming, and ideal for a large family gathering.
The venue features a large open garage area that will be transformed into a five-star dining space for our Introduction Dinner on July 3rd, 2027. During this dinner, the committee will share all the exciting plans and updates for the reunion weekend.
The property also offers generous indoor and outdoor space, allowing us to create a full experience for all ages.
Activities & Setup
The outdoor areas will be designed to include:
- A 4th of July barbecue area
- An outdoor vendor/retail space
- A children’s play area
- A games and competition zone
This beautiful, open property provides fresh air, scenic surroundings, and enough space to accommodate a wide range of activities for the entire family.
Attire
We ask that all family members dress to impress for the reunion events.
- Men: slacks and dress shirts
- Women: dresses or dress skirts

Capacity & Parking
The location can comfortably accommodate up to 552 guests and includes ample parking space. We will need 2 to 3 parking attendants to help manage traffic and ensure a smooth arrival experience for all guests.
